Lead With Your Story And Your Experience

I’ll tell you what—it is really, really tough to get a prospect.

And it’s even more frustrating when you get a prospect there in front of you, you’re supposed to help them. You’re supposed to help them do things like…

  • Make more money
  • Lose weight
  • Get married
  • Get their financial game together
  • Improve their career

And you know you can help them, but they don’t know that you can help them.

But you feel like you have them, and then you don’t close them.

And you’re saying to yourself, well, man, I knew that I had the right products or services for them. I knew that I could help them, but they didn’t say yes and I can’t figure out why they didn’t say yes.

So how can you close customers the first time? Convince them that you’ll solve a real problem and use a story to do it.

Your products and services grab attention. But your story makes you unique. Fancy words might turn heads, but a great story makes the sale.

I don’t want to sort of maybe get my problems solved! So how do I know, in under a minute, that you’re going to be the one to solve my problem?

CREDENTIALS DON’T MATTER

Credentials don’t matter. Pieces of paper with degrees and certifications don’t matter. Small business owners try to close deals by saying, well, I’ve been in business for 20 years. So? Who cares? You could have sucked all 20 years.

Your story tells me why you’re great.

How can you integrate your story into your sales pitch?
